Since 1988, Southington Community Theatre has awarded scholarships to Southington High School seniors who are pursuing a career in performing arts, music, or theater.  In 2002, the award was dedicated and named after SCT charter member Catherine McGloin, who passed away on December 25th of that year. Catherine’s lifetime spent with SCT lives on in the spirit of these annual awards.

Recently, the scholarships have been funded thanks to generous donations made in Catherine's memory, allowing for two students each year to be awarded scholarships. Future donations in McGloin’s memory will also be placed into this scholarship fund.  SCT will also continue to collect donations at future events specifically for use in the scholarship fund.
