Past SCT Scholarship Recipients

 

2004 - Stacie Long
Stacie graduated in 2004 from Southington High School and the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts as a voice major. At the Academy, she was in the Jazz Choir, which competed and won the Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, Calif. She participated in Southington Summer Youth Theatre for six years, and worked for the program as stage manager this past summer.  

Currently, Stacie is pursing a degree in Musical Theater at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she also earned their talent scholarship. She has studied voice with Peter Peluso for the past five years.  

 

2003 - Richard Cekovsky
In high school, Richard was a member of the National Honor Society, involved in activities at St. Thomas Church and had participated in many Southington theater events throughout his life. His most recent performance was the principal role of Conrad Birdie in SCT's production of Bye Bye Birdie in April, 2003. Cekovsky's intention after high school was to pursue a major in theater in college.


2003 - Matthew Hennessey
Matthew had performed with the Southington High School Drama Club, Southington Summer Youth Theater and the University of Hartford Summer Vocal Institute.  Hennessey was accepted to the Greater Hartford Academy of Performing Arts during his senior year in high school.  He is pursuing a degree in acting/performance in college. 

 

2002 - Chavah Levine
As a high school senior, Chavah was a member of the National Honor Society, active within her synagogue and National Honor Society, and participated in dance, theater, drama club and the school newspaper. Chavah's intention after high school was to pursue a double major in elementary education and theater arts in college.
