Southington Community Theatre (SCT) is proud to announce the recipient of its 2005 Catherine McGloin Memorial Scholarship. Each year, SCT awards the scholarship to a Southington High School senior who is pursuing a career in the performing arts/music/theater. The winner of the 2005 scholarship is Arianne DeCerb. 

Arianne graduated in 2005 from Southington High School. She attended the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts her senior year, and while there, performed the role of Grizabella in CATS.  She performed in the Southington High School Drama Club’s productions of The Wiz and Fame, and participated in Southington Community Theatre’s production of Bye, Bye, Birdie in 2003. Currently, Arianne is rehearsing for Southington Summer Stage’s production of Godspell, which will take place August 19 and 20 at DePaolo Middle School.

In the fall, Arianne will attend Emerson College in Boston to pursue a degree in Musical Theater.
